Ultra-fans rejoice! Tsuburaya Productions, in conjunction with Iceberg Theory, has just announced a virtual event called Ultraman Connection Live: Sevenger Fight, which will take place on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 9pm EDT/ 6pm PDT. Tickets for the event are now on sale at http://www.ultramanconnection.com. The first 500 purchases of full-priced tickets will get an exclusive commemorative Sevenger Fight pin from FanSets.
The event will also feature guest appearances by some of the best-loved stars of the most recent Ultraman franchise, as well as honored series director Kiyotaka Taguchi.
Fans outside of Japan have been hoping to catch a glimpse of the all-new miniseries Sevenger Fight ever since it launched on the Tsuburaya Imagination streaming service in Japan a few months back, but our wait is finally over! The first live event named Ultraman Connection Live: Sevenger Fight, will feature seven episodes of the Ultraman Z (Zett) spinoff series Sevenger Fight in Japanese with English subtitles for the very first time outside of Japan. The show will feature interviews and even a special mystery guest!
The event will first and foremost feature everything Sevenger, who is the first giant robot featured in Ultraman Z as part of the anti-monster team STORAGE (or if your hair is a little gray around the temples, he’s originally the capsule Kaiju featured in Ultraman Leo).
Sevenger is piloted by protagonist Haruki Natsukawa and STORAGE pilot Yoko Nakashima in the show as part of humanity’s principal technological program to keep the world safe from monster disasters. A simultaneously formidable and adorable giant robot, Sevenger has become a fan-favorite across all generations of Ultra-fans, and finally has been given the well-deserved opportunity to star in his own series!
Sevenger Fight is based in part on the classic 1970s series Ultra Fight and its 1994 follow-up, Ultra Super Fight. The comedic miniseries will put the giant robot Sevenger from Ultraman Z in the driver’s seat and will consist of a series of short episodes showcasing thrilling and hilarious battles against foes old and new.
After the first four episodes of Sevenger Fight’s highly anticipated premiere, the event will feature live interviews from Tokyo with Rima Matsuda (who plays fan-favorite Yoko Nakashima, one of Sevenger’s pilots), Takaya Aoyagi (actor for Shota Hebikura/Jugglus Juggler), and series director Kiyotaka Taguchi. Hosting the interview will be Sean Nichols, the popular American star of the beloved series Ultraman Max, which just last year celebrated its 15th anniversary. Following the interviews, the last three episodes of Sevenger Fight will be streamed.
Aside from the epic international debut of Sevenger Fight and live interviews with the director and cast, the event will also feature other exciting Sevenger goodies, such as a limited-edition exclusive Fansets Sevenger metal pin available only to the first 500 lucky fans who are able to procure a full-price ticket. Those will be available for $25, while remaining fans will be able to grab a regular ticket for $12.50. You can read more about the awesome exclusive commemorative pin here: FanSet Sevenger Pin Exclusive.
After the event, fans will be able to exit through a special merchandise store, which will feature more Sevenger and Ultraman-themed merch, including more FanSets pins, and Sevenger Fight posters and T-shirts by Nakatomi Print Labs.

Iceberg Theory, a joint venture between Starlight Runner Entertainment (who are the Transmedia Producers of all things Ultraman) and Elevate Pictures, plan to hold more Ultraman virtual events in the future, so here’s a hint: hold onto your tickets and stow any QR codes for safe keeping. You never know what can happen next!
We hope to see you at the event cheering for Sevenger with the rest of us on Thursday, June 3, 2021! And as always for all things Sevenger and Ultraman, stay tuned to Ultraman Galaxy.
