This year’s Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) saw fans from across the globe convening to celebrate their love of all things nerdy, but one of the biggest announcements happened when an industry giant introduced their newest title featuring a classic icon.
At the hotly anticipated Marvel Comics: The Next Big Thing panel we saw Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort herald the coming of a new year in Marvel Comics.

Few might have guessed what the final reveal of the panel would be; that is until C.B. called fan favorite writer Kyle Higgins onto the stage. Together they pulled back the curtain and gave fans their first glimpse at Marvel’s exciting collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions, The Rise of Ultraman.
Can you tell they’re all fans of Ultraman?
Why do fans love Kyle’s work on Power Rangers so much? Because he respected the rich canon of the Power Rangers universe, while asking and answering questions that had never been addressed before. Fans can expect the same in The Rise of Ultraman.
Next, Tom Brevoort showed us some great concept artwork by Francesco Manna. In this exclusive footage, some hints are dropped for fans wondering about who will be Ultraman and when the story takes place.
After the panel, the Marvel Ultraman team stood side-by-side with the team from Tsuburaya Productions, The Licensing Group, and Starlight Runner to share more about this exciting upcoming project.
More exclusive details on The Rise of Ultraman are coming soon.
